When sludge builds up too quickly in wastewater lagoons and ponds, it reduces treatment capacity and increases the frequency of required dredging. SLUDGE SHARKS attack the problem with an Earth Smart® Certified formulation utilizing United’s patented Inter-Core Technology®. They are 8-ounce blocks of specially blended bacteria with a 10 billion CFU per gram count, specifically selected for their ability to reduce the VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) found in sludge at the bottom of lagoons and treatment ponds. SLUDGE SHARKS feature a combination quick-release slug dose, with a slow releasing bacterial block that works over 4 – 10 weeks. Reduce sludge 30 – 60% in 60 to 90 days to regain capacity.
